Keep your stitch design

Convert existing stitches without re-digitizing the artwork. Each machine format has its own precision, stitch-length limits and colour support.

Reads 47 formats

We recognize common file headers. For other formats, keep the original extension or choose the original format when asked.

Check it before you sew

We draw the converted design on screen, stitch by stitch, with its real measurements. So you can be sure you picked the right file.

Need a different size too? Try the free embroidery design resizer to set a width or height and compare the resized stitches.

Things worth knowing

Does converting change my design?
Conversion keeps the existing stitch design without re-digitizing it. The target format can round coordinates, split long stitches or represent trims and stops differently. The preview and stitch count describe the converted file. Read the conversion walkthrough →
Is it really free?
Converting and previewing are free, and you do not need an account for either. You do need one to download the file, but that is free too. No card, and it stays free.
What can I upload?
Just about any stitch file. PES, DST, JEF, EXP, VP3, U01, PEC, XXX, HUS, SHV, SEW, PCS, TAP, PHC and more. We recognize common file headers. For formats without a unique header, keep the original extension or select the original format when asked. Images need Auto Digitize in the studio. Stitch files or images: choose the right tool →
Will my thread colours survive?
It depends on the formats. DST, EXP and U01 do not store thread RGB colours; their previews use sample colours. Other formats may map colours to a limited thread palette. Always check your thread sequence on the machine. Understand thread colors after conversion →
Does my file get uploaded?
Yes. The conversion runs on our server rather than in your browser. We keep results temporarily, normally for 30 minutes, then automatically remove their working files. Results can expire sooner after a restart or when temporary storage is full.
My machine will not take the converted file. Why?
Check the exact format and version your machine supports, the design's dimensions, the selected hoop and your machine's USB folder requirements. A supported extension alone does not guarantee compatibility. Work through the machine-file checklist →
