Why an embroidery converter rejects a PNG, JPG or PDF

If you have a picture

Open Auto Digitize in Studio and choose the supported image. Review the trace, object stitch choices and colors, then create the design and inspect it. One free creation is included; additional automatic creations require Pro.

For unsupported image types such as PDF or HEIC, export the artwork as PNG or JPEG in the original program. Preserve a clear original rather than taking a low-resolution screenshot.

If you have a ZIP download

Extract it and look for the machine embroidery file. A purchased design package often contains several formats, several sizes and a preview or chart. Select the format and size intended for your machine.

If your package already includes the right format, conversion may be unnecessary. Keep the accompanying thread instructions.

If the file should already contain stitches

Check that it is the original file, not a renamed download or partial transfer. Preserve its extension. When asked for the original format, select what the source software actually wrote.

Some proprietary project files contain editable objects rather than a supported stitch delivery. Open them in their original software and export a supported embroidery format.

Keep useful details for support

Report the original extension, chosen destination, exact message and whether the file opens in its source software. Do not infer a server crash solely from a validation message.
